How to Become a morning Person

I hate getting up in the morning just as much as you do.  Actually, I hate it more, lol.

For the past two weeks I have been trying something different and I am not going to lie, I am starting to like it.

I have been setting my alarm clock for 6am on Saturday and Sunday.


I read an article that said it is hard to get into a rhythm of waking up early if you are always trying to “catch up” on sleep during certain days of the week (weekends) and then shocking yourself  Monday morning with your 5am wake up.

The theory is, (Tip #1) when we wake up at the same time each day our body gets used to it and it becomes normal.

So, I decided to try it and I have been doing it for the past 2 weeks.

Now, full disclose I have a 2 month old son, so waking up lately has not been my choice, BUT, the conscious setting  of my alarm clock for 6 am on Sat and Sun is.

Tip #2.  I find it a lot easier to have a reason for getting up.  I’ll have a task I want to get done for work bright an early, or get in an early work out, or make your wife/husband/kids breakfast… whatever.

Having a reason makes it purposeful. Your not just getting up to get up.

Am I  going to continue?  I don’t know.  But I will be next weekend, as as long as I continue to enjoy it.

One thing is for sure.  I got up today (Monday) at 6am with ease 🙂
