Phatburn is excited to announce our newest addition to the team.
Meet Jenna, ukulele player, dog lover and registered dietitian!
Jenna grew up in Somers, NY attending Somers Highschool where she played volleyball and ran track.
She considers herself a runner having completed two half marathons and multiple 5ks. She proclaims her first half marathon as one of the most exciting days of her life due to the exposure of the extreme support she felt on race day from her friends and family.
After HS Jenna attended NYU undergrad where she kept up a normal fitness routine of running and going to the gym. It was here she also fell in love with spinning enough to become a certified instructor. She loved the music and motivation she found with that type of atmosphere.
Post NYU Jenna attended Columbia where she obtained her Master’s Degree in nutrition and exercise physiology. It was during this time she really started to embody the nutrition that she was studying. Jenna took on extra courses to become a registered dietitian and completed three rotations of her dietetic internship at St Luke’s Hospital and Northern Westchester Hospital.
Jenna is most excited about working 1 on1 with PhatBurn members on their nutrition goals and doing educational workshops. Her medical nutrition knowledge allows her to take PhatBurn to the next level by counseling on health issues such as high cholesterol and pre-diabetes. She is big on evidence based plans and studies when it comes to nutrition.
You can meet her this week in our White Plains studio.
“Today is the best day to start. No time is perfect to make any kind of change in your life. I think realizing now is the best time will get you far.” -Jenna
